International Forest Development

As part of its commitment to the global forest industry, Heartwood Plantations General Manager, Jon Lambert, founded Beyond Subsistence in 2008. Beyond Subsistence is a non-profit organisation that undertakes forestry and agroforestry development amongst people groups living in poverty. 

Heartwood Plantations is a key supporter of Beyond Subsistence both financially by contributing a share of its profits, and practically by regularly providing staff for project work. 

Heartwood Plantations is currently supporting projects in Uganda, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe and Niger.
